BRIDGES, HIGHWAYS

New York State Bridge Authority -- Based in Highland, operates five toll bridges spanning the Hudson River from Catskill south to Bear Mountain. The toll on each of the bridges is $1 for eastbound cars. Commercial vehicles pay a higher toll. The authority has E-ZPass on all it river crossings. Thruway accounts are re-quired to use E-ZPass. Advance payment or credit cards can be used to get an E-ZPass tag. Call the Thruway’s E-ZPass Customer Service Center in Spring Valley at (800) 222-8655 or log on at www.e-zpassny.com.
